    Phone number 07 3150 4009 is a criminal enterprise running the ‘we’re folloing up on a motor vehicle accident you’ve had within the last 12 months’ scam. Hang up on them and block their number - they are committing fraud.

    This is an English call centre scam. Have you been in an accident on the motorway in the last 12 months...? It's an insurance scam. It's not the first time I've had these.

    I got a call from this line, and my smart phone said it was from a number in Sandgate which was where some family use to live. Typical scammers. Then the caller stated that they wanted to inform me about an insurance claim for an accident I had. I have had no accidents so I told them what I thought of scammers and hung up. This is an Insurance Fraud call.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
