The caller was a Filipino man. He called me arrogant in my own language. He was a rude man, especially after I told him that I’m not interested. Anyone can be assertive for the right reasons, like how I was. I am a person who is busy providing for my family, yet that man told me I was arrogant. He doesn’t know me at all, yet he thinks he has every right to say that I was arrogant? That is what infuriates me. If I can’t be allowed to at least decline and reason with a marketer, then what’s the use of ever talking to others? That man needs to learn that even in marketing you will encounter people who will decline and try to reason. So for the sake of that man, please tell him that life is hard, but you need to be realistic and ready to take a “No” to the face. The time he called me was 11:35 am while I was in Cairns. I did not catch his name as I was busy doing my work.
