Commonwealth Bank Impersonation Reports for 07 3062 8364
Fourteen contributors have reported calls from 07 3062 8364 (also written as 0730628364) impersonating Commonwealth Bank. The scam is persistent and well-coordinated, with callers using the caller's full name, creating urgency around false account issues, and requesting sensitive personal and financial information. Multiple contributors have confirmed with the actual Commonwealth Bank that these calls are fraudulent.
The pattern is consistent across reports: callers claim an outstanding bill, overdrawn credit card, or missed loan payment on a Commonwealth Bank account. Contributors report that the calls sound professional and automated, making them initially convincing. However, the critical detail is that many recipients do not have Commonwealth Bank accounts, yet callers reference their full names and specific account-related issues.
What Callers from 07 3062 8364 Claim
Callers from 0730628364 consistently impersonate Commonwealth Bank staff or automated systems. One contributor noted they received a robotic call claiming an account was overdrawn. Another reported the caller mentioned an outstanding bill and asked them to press a key to verify their identity. Several reports mention callers requesting card details, with one contributor describing a request for card information "for Coles gift vouchers" when the caller pretended to be PayPal using the same number.
A particularly detailed report describes the caller using a robotic voice informing the recipient of a CBA account in their name, then directing them to call 1300 130 107 (a fake callback number designed to capture the victim's willingness to engage). Multiple contributors emphasise that these callers somehow knew their full names and surnames, raising concerns about data breach sourcing.
The caller behaviour shows persistence. One contributor received calls starting in June and continuing through subsequent months. Another reported receiving 5-10 calls per day from numbers starting with 07, with calls containing only white noise or brief robotic messages. When one contributor called back a number provided by the scammer, it imitated Commonwealth Bank's system with misleading instructions.
Report Patterns and Timing
Reports for 07 3062 8364 span from late 2023 through late 2025, indicating an active, long-running scam operation. Most calls were answered (13 of 14 reports), with one voicemail report describing repetitive silent or white-noise calls. A contributor noted receiving calls "today and six months ago," confirming the scam's sustained activity against multiple targets.
The scam targets appear random in terms of Commonwealth Bank account status. Several contributors explicitly stated they do not have accounts with CBA, yet were contacted about account issues. This random-calling approach combined with known personal names suggests data harvesting from multiple sources or purchase of consumer lists.

Making very convincing calls, similar to other reported scams
Claimed to be PayPal, wanted card details for Coles gift vouchers, kept calling back
caller claimed to be Commonwealth Bank asking for personal info, confirmed it's not legit, blocked them
Multiple calls claiming to be my bank but I don't have accounts with them
Calls today and six months ago about CBA outstanding bill. I don't bank with CBA
Getting 5-10 calls a day from different numbers starting with 07, just 10 seconds of white noise, no proper message
Commonwealth Bank collections call mentioning missed loan or mortgage payments
Automated call pretending to be Commonwealth Bank, sounded professional, when I called back it imitated their system with misleading instructions
Persistent calls claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank using my full name, asked me to press key, but bank confirmed they didn't call
I understand it may seem like a scam call and it is always better to be safe than sorry.
It is actually CBA though. They only usually call and leave an automated message when you’re at least a week behind in making a payment on a credit card or a loan, etc that you have with them.
Person claimed to be with Doctors Without Borders, said they got my number and email from a Facebook quiz, very pushy about donation
Fraud. This is not CBA.
It's a centre for Commonwealth Bank - they're chasing late Credit Card payments.
Commbank.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Is 07 3062 8364 really Commonwealth Bank calling me?
No. Fourteen contributors have confirmed that 07 3062 8364 (0730628364) is not Commonwealth Bank. Multiple contributors verified directly with Commonwealth Bank that the calls are scams. The bank itself has advised contributors to block the number, update passwords, and ignore any contact from 0730628364 claiming to be CBA.
How do callers from 0730628364 know my full name?
This is a major red flag. Multiple contributors reported that callers from 07 3062 8364 knew their full names and surnames before they had spoken. This suggests the scammers are working from a compiled data list purchased from a data broker or sourced from a data breach. Never confirm personal information to callers, even if they know your name.
What should I do if I already gave my card details to 07 3062 8364?
Contact your bank immediately using the number on your bank card or their official website (not any number the caller provided). Report the call to Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) and ACMA (acma.gov.au). Ask your bank to cancel your current card and monitor your account for fraudulent activity. Change your online banking passwords immediately.
Why does the caller from 0730628364 sound so professional and automated?
One contributor noted that 07 3062 8364 uses a robotic voice that mimics official Commonwealth Bank systems. Another contributor reported that when they called back a number provided by the scammer, it imitated CBA's system with misleading instructions. These scammers invest in professional-sounding voice technology and fake callback systems to build credibility and trap victims.
I keep getting calls from different 07 numbers with just white noise. Is this related to 07 3062 8364?
Possibly. One contributor reported receiving 5-10 calls daily from different numbers starting with 07, each containing only 10 seconds of white noise. These may be part of the same scam operation probing active numbers. Block all such calls and report them to ACMA (acma.gov.au). Do not answer and do not call back.
Should I call the number Commonwealth Bank supposedly left (like 1300 130 107)?
Absolutely not. One contributor who called back a number provided by the 07 3062 8364 caller found it was a fake system imitating Commonwealth Bank with misleading instructions. If you have concerns about your Commonwealth Bank account, hang up on the caller and instead call Commonwealth Bank directly using the number on your bank card or their official website at commbank.com.au.
