I received a call on my Mobile Phone from this number on the 6th July.2015. The woman calling had an extremely thick accent, so it was very hard to understand what she was saying. I eventually heard the words 'market research' and that was enough for me to end the call immediately. How a person in Queensland can get hold of my Mobile Phone number when I live in South Australia, is a mystery. It seems from other comments on this site, that other people have experienced the same type of call as me, so she is indeed a scam caller, so I have blocked this number.
I answered the call. I was left 2 missed calls and a blank voice mail too prior to answering. I recently sent in my details to a website to be enrolled in an online counselling course, so that's how they got my number. Except it wasn't marketing or an Indian man. It was a lady who sounded kiwi and she pitched me the course very convincingly until she ask for my tax file number and said that's the only thing I require to be enrolled. Also said I won't have to pay any enrolment fees, only a sum of 25.000 once I have finished the course and am earning more than 50.000. Sounded awesome to me until I put the number into Google and all these comments have come up.
Don't answer the call, if you do ask questions such as the person's name, where they are calling from and how they obtained your details.
Received a call from this number today. They left what sounded like a pocket dial as a voice mail. Have blocked the number.
Just got one, didn't answer. Thought it was for the best.
Hey, I received a call today. Same deal, he knew my number and email, asked for my post code and suburb, I refused to give my full address! Said they will call back in a weeks time.
Sounds dodgy. But the number he uses is an Australian displayed number which had me continue my discussion otherwise I'd hang up!!!!!
Received a call from this number on my mobile saying they were from Australian Market Research. Guy spoke in thick Indian accent. No website comes up when doing a search. Concerned that my mobile number may have been given to them by a Telco door to door sales job I was put through for by an employment agency. Would be interested to find out if anyone else looking for work has had a similar experience. Not only is this unethical, but I suspect, illegal.
This guy just called me. He seemed to already have all me details. Said he was doing a lifestyle survey for my area. Asked me a bunch of questions about if I was happy with my super. Getting worried after reading all these posts. He already knew my email, and address but did ask me if I was in Melbourne or Sydney?
This person called and asked me to do a survey about the cost of living. I went along with is as I thought it might be legit as it was an Australian number. He said he was from Australian Market Research. At the end of the survey he already had my email address and said I would receive another call to confirm or something.
Marketing company.
Just got a call from this number - same deal as the others - I could barely understand the man's English. He said he was calling from "Entice Engagement Centre". I tried to clarify multiple times the name of the company that he was calling from. Googling this company yields no results. I have no idea how they got my number - maybe from giving it to a lady at the Rocklea Markets recently for a possible prize - which I thought was not a good idea at the time.
He said he was doing a survey on the standard of living in my area and I could win a $100 voucher. Also made this comment on this number on other sites that report phone numbers like this.
Received a call today. Returned the call and got a dodgy voice mail not stating anything about what their organisation did.
Didn't leave a message, and will not answer. I thought it was only my home phone that got these dodgy annoying people ringing, now my mobile too. Geez. These people need to be stopped, it's an outrage, and I think this is how cancer is contagious down the phone line. Stop ringing me.
They keep calling and not leaving a message. I answered and it was some survey mob asking me about my life for the chance to win a massive $100 gift card. I spun them a heap of bS about being 26, earning 750k/year, owning 16 hours etc. STOP CALLING ME you AHOLES! It is irritating.
Received call today, stating they were conducting a survey on behalf of Entice Engage Retain. They sought confirmation as to marital status / average income / whether I was interested in studying / if I wanted a self managed superannuation fund etc/ if I was happy with current career.
They already had my name, address and telephone number. Sought my e-mail address as well so they could give me results of the survey, which I did not provide.
Website looks totally bogus. They were sketchy about how they had obtained my data. Very evasive. I cannot believe that I fell for this! DO NOT ANSWER.
This person is random.
My husband has been receiving calls from this number for the last month. They never leave a voicemail and continually ring throughout the day. He answered once and they asked for someone called Shannon which he said isn't his name and could you stop calling. But annoyingly they keep ringing. Has anyone reported this number to the police?
They called me today but used a completely different alias to the ones listed above... I was concerned that they would scan my phone for personal information such as bank details so I hung up after maybe 30 seconds...
Every hour I get calls from this number during the week and on weekends it's every 6 or so hours! Have blocked the number but it's frustrating cause my phone buzzed when a number has been blocked. I've tried calling them and have left a few messages telling them to remove my number from their call list and to just stop calling but the pricks still call... religiously... Ever frackin' hour!
Received a call today, couldn't understand the English. Something about conducting a survey in my area. I just hung up.
Got missed call from this nnumber. Tried calling it went straight to voice mail after one ring. Hope they don't call back. I don't think it's important call anyways after reading all the others experience with this number.
Scam don't answer.
2 minute survey on marital status / household income / interest in studying / hobbies and interests.. Ended with saying they will email and call again to confirm entry into raffle prize - "Please can I have your husbands name to double your chance to win" - uh, nope.
Had a missed call from them today, no VM left.
Tried calling back.1 ring, then straight VM.
I think it is from the Facebook advertising of a education services/look up service, called 'I want that course'... I sent a query to them the other day, so I figure this is them getting back to me. I have only been called once so far.
Spam.
Read previous comments so I thought I'd answer to find out. The gentleman with heavy accent said (sounded like) he was calling from want calls dot com. Wanted to do a survey. How many in household, regarding education. Didn't go any further.
This number rings me numerous times a day obviously telemarketing, so damn annoying.
Receiving daily calls from this number up to 5 times a day. Very annoying. When I call back goes straight to message bank.
This number has called me 5 times already this week? Does anybody have any information about which company it is?
They keep calling my phone too. I added it to reject list and when I went to my call log my phone shows it has rejected this number many times. Who the heck is it? I call back but answer machine doesn't elude to the business name at all.
Number calls regularly. No messages left and when I called back there was an answering message that gave no indication of who or what the company was.
