Indian accent claiming to be from the Security Department of Commonwealth Bank NSW claiming that payments were made on my debit card at 4 am today. I said I didn't believe him, several Red Flags, he just hung up.
My landline was rung showing this number at about 6.15 this evening (23rd October 2024)
I don't normally pick up numbers I am not familiar with but I thought it may have been a business I bought something from online which turned out to be not what I ordered at all when delivered (a definite scammer) and who knows, this number may be associated with that business, as I noticed this number has been searched 3 times already, maybe with the same issue. I did pick up but did not speak to see if someone said something but nothing was uttered. They hung up. That is what I call a scammer not to mention a low life riff raff harassing people in their own homes and no doubt if I did speak the alarm bells would be ringing loud and clear that the person on the other end would be lying through his or her teeth.
