Do not answer this number, if you do do not say anything, the robotic software caller with hang up in 5 seconds.
Received a call from a woman claiming to be from Amazon. She had an Indian accent and asked me if I had ordered an iPhone 16 on my Amazon account. I foolishly downloaded a book for my kindle over a public wifi on the JR Train system while travelling in Japan. They tried to get me to download an App that would let them have control of my phone. I refused. A “senior officer” came on the phone - pushy, aggressive male. Told me that the charge would go through if I did not do what he told me. I hung up, checked my credit card, no charge, locked it. Then checked my Amazon account and sure enough, an iPhone 16 was in my basket. I removed this and informed Amazon and increased the security on my account. Lesson learnt. Do not use public WiFi when travelling.
Scam. Claimed to be from CBA and said someone from the US had requested to deposit money into my account.
Definitely a scammer!!! Called me and ask for my sister’s name and asked me my PayPal details. When I said, “you are a scammer”, they hung up the phone.
