A woman identifying herself as Brenda, speaking in a recorded message, made the call very uncomfortable for me, so I decided to hang up.
Rang 3 times in a row, I never answered as I screen all calls due to high number of insurance and scam callers. Looked up number and found this page.
Yet another bogus scam caller by the looks.
Scam.
Called me today from a polite man introducing himself and saying was from Telstra intranet - that IP address was on public. I don't know what the purpose of the call & I hung up. At 3:00 pm.
Claimed they were from PayPal, using a name not connected to my PayPal account. Deleted the account and blocked the number.
Called and said they were with fraud department and had detected overseas activity on my commonwealth bank account. Hung up when I said I don't have a bank account.
Called and said they were from commonwealth bank who I don't have a relationship with.
This number just called and left a message saying it was going to activate my Amazon Prime account and deduct $99.99 from my account today, press 1 if I wish to cancel. Blocked this number.
Scam. Answered, the call took a beat to connect to the call center and a woman came on the line who struggled to say anything past 'Ummm'. Think she lost her place in the script trying to rip people off. Blocked number.

For a call from this number today. Woman said she was from Amazon. Knew. Lot about the surface level details of my account. Even last few digits of my credit card. Was trying to convince me that someone had hacked my details in America and was trying to purchase stuff. She was very convincing but the whole thing felt off which is why I doubted the legitimacy of it.
