    I've had calls from this one before. It's a very natural sounding AI. It gives itself away when it repeats answers. Sounds like a real person but it's not.

    The voice on this number has rung on a number of occasions. Invariably starts by asking "I hope you are well" as soon as I hear this well rehearsed voice I reply "Yes" and hang up!!!

    Probably a scammer. Recently had funds stolen from my main bank account, so extra wary of answering calls from unknown numbers now.

    Call not answered and the called did not leave a voice message. I have been receiving constant calls from similar QLD numbers saying they’re charities or not saying nothing at all. Suspected scam!!!

    I normally don’t answer phone numbers I don’t recognize, not sure why I answered this one. Woman called seeking donations of $40-$50 for youth suicide prevention charity program ‘Alive’. When I declined she had a second spiel about the program then asked for a $20 donation. I declined. The woman’s spiel sounded either super rehearsed or was recorded, hard to tell.

Raising money for Youth Suicide and I was not convinced as so many want to scam money over the phone. My answer is never give details for anyone over the phone. Just be aware and alert. If you are any doubt speak with someone at Scam and report it as I will Monday. Hope this help's others.

    Refuse to answer calls that I don't recognise the number as most are charities looking for money - or scams saying my internet is at risk.

    Call not answered and no voicemail left. Probably a scammer, given the high number of scam calls I've had in the last few days.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
