I got a call from this number but didn’t answer it. After checking online, I’m relieved that I didn’t respond and have now blocked them on my landline phone.
I received a typical solar panel scam call. Even when I confronted the caller by asking how they plan to scam me, they assured me they had no fraudulent intentions and then asked whether I had solar panels at my house. I'm frustrated by these persistent callers and disappointed with Telstra's response to these issues, especially since the scammers use local numbers.
I got a call from this number but never answer calls from unknown numbers. Instead, I check this site for reports, and I’m glad I didn’t answer this time!
This was definitely a scam call. The caller claimed they were from the VISA/MasterCard department but hung up abruptly during the conversation.
This caller claimed to be from Telstra, specifically referencing some flashing router buttons. After I informed them that they were scamming and advised them to get more respectable work, I decided to hang up. I had a phone call from this number as well as a Sydney number 0290710252. Both numbers are the same Indian person.
Tried to say that I had purchased an iPhone 7 that cost $399 through an Amazon account.
Firstly, I do not have an Amazon account (I even checked the Amazon login and it says put in your email and mobile number to log in) I put in my mobile number and it said that number didn’t exist on the Amazon service.
Secondly, why the hell would I purchase an iPhone 7 when I have an iPhone 13 max pro? Why would I downgrade?
Third, you got my name wrong on the initial pick up on top of that you didn’t say who you were (what company?). If you’re gonna scam somebody get yourself organised first!
