I answered a call and could hear background noise similar to what one might hear in a call center. The noise seemed artificial and overlaid, and the call was abruptly disconnected after a few seconds.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Optus, stating there was a problem with my internet speed. I didn’t believe him and kept asking him to provide proof that he was really from Optus, which seemed to annoy him. He eventually got frustrated and threatened to report me to his area manager. He called me rude and said that this behavior is typical of people in Australia.
I had a phone call where the caller asked for my email address. I declined to give it, and he accused me of using that email to hack. I insisted that the email he mentioned was incorrect and not my responsibility. He became angry and suggested I search for something on Google, but I refused and stated that my phone indicated he was a fraud. He then hung up.
