    Yes we've had several calls from this idiot first he was Kevin LLoyd and the next time he was Vincent Mathew same accent same scenario warrant surveillance blah blah the biggest mistake this dickwad makes is saying we can reach him on their hotline number which in Kevin / Vincent or whatever his name is today is 0261528639 Hotline numbers are always 1300 numbers. Forget it he doesn't know you or where you live if it were genuine he would state your name and address as well. Hope he gets caught or run over by something large like a CDDP vehicle.

    As with the other comments, I received a call on my answering machine from someone saying they were from the CDPP and that my house was under surveillance. I don't really know what kind of scam this is but please don't call the number mentioned 0299980450.

    Received a call from Kevin Lloyd apparently from the CDPP ATO - same as above, said house was under surveillance, warrant out for our arrest (no mention of who the warrant was out for!).... WHY CAN'T THE DAMNED PHONE COMPANIES STOP THESE SORTS OF CALLS/CLOSE DOWN THESE NUMBERS when complaints are made!!???? GRRRRRR.

    I just got this scam call today and at first was taken aback; but ten seconds of reflection at the way it was spoken and the laughably unlikely details etc, told me it was false. What weird purpose do such callers have I ask? They should be prosecuted by the CDPP. If I find their house (impossible) I will put it under my own surveillance before I set f... Er, no, give police the address.

    My Partner and I have received this call and message saying there name was Kevin Blake from the CCDP and that our house was under surveillance and that there was a warrant out for his arrest funny thing is that my partner is a security guard and had got his renewed license in the mail today so this a hell scam because my partner would not have received his license if there was a warrant out for him.

    Two voice mail messages on the home number claiming we are under surveillance and an arrest warrant has been issued.

    Interesting that they didn't mention a name or address on the phone messages.

    I can't imagine what they could be wanting?

    I had the same message on my answering machine concerning the CDPP and the ATO and was told that I was under surveillance and there was a warrant for my arrest. They told me to call this number. I rang my accountant and he said that it was a scam and not to contact them.

    It was very disturbing to get the message and I think they should be prosecuted.

    We had the same call message concerning the CDPP and the ATO and were told the house was under surveillance and our arrest was imminent we have chosen to ignore it. Kevin Lloyd was the name given who also had a foreign accent.

    Same story as others - spoke to a David Lee who claimed to be from the CDPP, with badge number PR8527. He said I was subject of an ATO audit and was about to be arrested. I said that I would contact him back through the ATO phone number. When I called the ATO they confirmed it as a fraud and I lodged a formal complaint through their system.

    Yes I received a call on my home phone - a message was left for me to contact them - they were calling on behalf of the CDPP- Commonwealth Dept of Public Prosecution... And the ATO and that a Warrant for my arrest is imminent The message said not to ignore the call and to contact them back - I called the number and got a male foreign voice called himself David Lee and he said he would get back to me. I have absolutely no issues with the ATO and he has not called back.

    This number is a tax scam. Ignore the people on the line. The ATO will only contact you by mail.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
