Analysis of User Feedback

Reviews surrounding 03 9982 3622 showcase a pattern of annoyance and concern. Multiple users mentioned that the caller either hung up immediately or failed to leave a message after repeated attempts to connect. This behaviour raises red flags as legitimate organisations typically have a message service to communicate with potential customers or supporters.

The Alarming Patterns of Conduct

  • No Messages Left: A recurring trend is the absence of voicemail left after calls. This could indicate that the caller isn't genuinely attempting to reach the recipient for a service or inquiry.
  • Claims of Association with CareFlight: Some callers believed they were being contacted by CareFlight for fundraising efforts presented under deceptive premises, often referred to as "frugging". Concerns about unethical practices associated with market research surveys have emerged, warning potential victims about such misuse of branding.
  • Requests for Personal Information: Some reports indicate calls related to Energy Australia, where users were prompted to install an app called Zoho, suggestive of a phishing attempt where personal details may be exploited.

Classification: Suspicious Caller

Based on these analyses, 03 9982 3622 should be classified as a suspicious caller, with numerous indications that it may serve as a gateway for scams. The various reports suggest a method of operation designed to mislead individuals into providing sensitive information, potentially leading to identity theft or financial loss.

Said energy Australia customer service with Vic discount asked for I Zoho app to be installed. Not likely to be legit and I refused to allow the app permission then hung up. It was about a discount really a scam. The zoho app is real but only used for business accounts and energy Australia verify it was not them nor for them. The app gives permission that you don't want to give to anyone ever unless you know all about it. App has a warning roughly saying caution this app may be used by unotherised people to scam and the permission warned it gives them access to my phone screen and more. So any call from this number is these professional scammers with a lot of your private information. Don't correct any mistakes they make about your name bill type how you pay or bank obviously. They new almost everything but made one mistake that gave it away. It's very convincing until you think how unusual the use of a second app like Zoho is. It will give full access to your screen on phone so if you did download. Uninstall will prevent its use on your phone screen and access to more. At least hang up and ring your provider on real number. Don't let them rush you just because they have your details or think they do. Hanging up isn't rude it's necessary.

An agent from a telemarketing company contacted me today. She was very courteous and didn't pressure me to buy anything. She simply asked for support, even for as little as 50 cents a day. It's important to recognize that not all telemarketers are unscrupulous; I'd prefer to receive a call from someone working in a job rather than have to see people begging for money on the street.

Not to be trusted. Care flight scam. Often straight from a survey planed to get trust. Don't even listen just block. It's persistent harrassment if you ignore they won't leave a message just repeating calls.

This is CareFlight "FRUGGING", I.e. "fundraising in the guise of research", which is regarded as a most unethical and unhelpful practice by those who work in legitimate market and social research (as I have done). I answered a "survey" about safety when bushwalking only to find it was a set-up. The survey sign-off said someone on behalf of CareFlight would be calling me to ask for my financial support; there was NO mechanism for me to opt out. I have since received at least four calls from this number and no one has left a message. I'm now blocking this number and will not be supporting CareFlight at any point in the future.

I did not answer the calls from this number, but after reading the reports from others, I realized that I became involved in the so-called "Win a First Aid Promotion." I find this a misguided way to solicit funding or donations, and I have now blocked the number.

I admit I got tricked by an online quiz, and while I'm willing to support a genuine charity, I will not do so under misleading circumstances. I have since blocked the call.
