    Missed call, called back and their voicemail message identified the caller as Kantar Market Research. While Kantar is a legitimate business, whether this caller is or not is a different story.

    Called at 8pm, hung up immediately after answering. Called for 20 seconds in the past, so I can only assume it was a spam call at best.

    They rang whilst I was having my dinner, so I answered said they were doing a survey for our local Council, most likely a scam, as our Council has just done a survey in which they sent all residents across the Shire to answer and fill in.

    I had my head buried in between my girlfriends legs when the phone rang and I thought it was work calling me, so I answered inbetween licks and and turns out it was my "local council" doing a survey. For starters, I don't live in that council, I live over 200km away from that council. And they interrupted my intimate time. Rude.

    I have a message on my phone (that I put there) saying that if you are not on my caller list I will not pick up, but leave a message and I'll call back if warranted. Rang at 7:30 pm on a weeknight, no message left, this site confirms this is spam - blocked caller.

    This number rings frequently but hangs up before we pick up. No longer picking up and caller doesn't leave a message. After call we do seem to get a number of SPAM calls. Possibly a number used to see if you are home so the spammers / scammers can try to call?

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
