Just got a call from this number... Third time today. Like other people's experience, the female "technician" gave another phone number and person's name to contact, but not before advising that she would "guide us through" what needed to be done to "protect our computer" !...I don't think so !
I keep getting calls to my home phone from this number. Every day sometimes twice a day. I knew it was a scam from the go. And like everyone has said they claim to be from Telstra in miller st north Sydney. They have obviously looked the address of Telstra up as a Google search shows a Telstra shop in miller st north Sydney. Again like everyone has said the man said he got my phone number from the Telstra internet database, even though I have never had a service with Telstra. I know it's a scam but I do have fun with the calls. I tell them they are scammers and lead them on. They keep calling back. Most of the time I don't answer. If you ring the number 03 9947-2263. Says it is disconnected.
Indian call centre spoofing a Victorian or Tasmanian number and claiming they are from Telstra technical support. Apparently the internet connection is going to be cut in 2 days. Advised them I would take it up with my ISP which isn't Telstra and ended the call.
Have been receiving phone calls for four days in a row. Obviously a scam, claiming they are from Telstra technical support and saying that out computer has been hacked by someone overseas. Indian male voice. He was quite rude when I told him our internet is fine. He yelled "LISTEN TO ME! LISTEN TO ME!" I hung up. He called again. I googled the number and told him I know it's a scam and to stop calling us, then hung up. He has not called back.
Yep they just rang me and they quote Telstra employee ID's Case # address and telephone of HQ. I had fun and getting transferred a better speaking indian scammer and had her on the line for 10 mins confusing the hell out of her.
This number has been phoning my landline repeatedly over the last few days. In the last hour I have had three calls. I have not answered any of them. They are certainly persistent. Thanks for this service and finding out they are scammers.
They are Indian scammers saying they are from Telsta and your internet has been compromised.
They'll ask you to download team viewer and then use is to corrupt you machine.
DON'T TRUST THIS NUMBER... But have some fun with them too, they hate being led on hahaha.
