What Our Users Reviewed
Caller left an incomplete message. I called back. The man said he was from eBay.
And needed my name in order to find the message. I gave him my first and last name.
He said that someone had purchased a gift voucher on my eBay account for $299 and he said the government had alerted eBay about scams.
He said he wanted to help me cancel the order.
I became suspicious when he asked details about my phone. His manner was also forceful and rude. It didn't sound like eBay customer service wanting to help the customer.
He also asked if I banked with the commonwealth bank.
When I insisted that he was being rude he called off.
When I checked the messages in my eBay account there was no message about a gift voucher order.
This is a scam. They are after bank and credit card details.
