I received a SCAM call from an automated voice claiming to be from the VISA fraud department. They indicated there was a suspicious transaction exceeding one thousand dollars and instructed me to press 1 to accept the transaction or 2 to decline it. Definitely not legitimate!

The caller was able to address me by name and mentioned that someone was using my Visa Card, which is strange since I do not own a Visa Card. I attempted to call back, but their voicemail box was full. I suspect this is a scam. I wonder why Telstra hasn't disconnected this number yet. The call originated from Ringwood, Victoria.

I received calls yesterday from (03) 9871 7442 and today from another number ending in 7449. I suspect these calls are coming from a group of scammers. I recommend ignoring their calls and not returning the call.

A caller claimed they were working on the NBN (National Broadband Network) and directed me to the AnyDesk website to download software that would allow them to control my computer remotely. They sounded very convincing and could easily deceive someone unfamiliar with technology. I advise you not to engage with them or download anything.

I missed 4 calls while I was out, which occurred at 5-minute intervals around lunchtime. The calls came from three different phone numbers: (03) 9871 7445, (03) 9871 7449, and (03) 9871 7453 (which called twice). All three numbers claimed to be from Visa or other banks, alleging that there were fraudulent transactions. It seems like these calls are generated from a call center or robotic system. Clearly, these are scam calls, so it's best to just hang up if you receive them.

On 7th Nov 2023, I missed a phone call from 03 9871 7449 and a recorded message was left claiming to be from the commonwealth bank fraud department and that there was a problem with a payment on my credit card. I was asked to ring back on 1300 409 361.

It's obviously a scam. For starters I don't have any commonwealth bank accounts and at no point in the message was I named.

This call appeared to come from Ringwood, Victoria. When I picked up, there was several seconds of silence before a recorded male voice stated that he was calling from Visa security. He claimed that my card had been used for a $1099 transaction for a gift card. I was instructed to press button 1 if the transaction was fraudulent or button 2 if it was correct.
