A person with an Indian accent called and claimed to represent Visa/Mastercard services, but I don’t trust this type of unsolicited call.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra, my internet provider, and addressed me as "Mr. Peter." They offered a surprising 50% discount on my service and seemed to know my surname and email address.
After I turned off my modem for two hours and then restarted it, I received a call claiming to be from the NBN. The caller stated my modem was faulty and tried to scam me out of $3,500 from an overseas account. They insisted I needed to pay $4.95 to receive a new modem, which raised suspicions leading me to contact my bank's fraud department.
This is a scam. I received a recorded voicemail from a woman with an American accent, informing me about two charges to my Visa card that I did not recognize.
The caller claimed someone was attempting to make a fraudulent transaction with my Visa card and was clearly from a foreign call center. They requested my credit card number, but I told them I needed to confirm their claims with my bank before providing any information and hung up. After calling my bank, I was informed that it was indeed a scam.
An automated voice claimed to be from Visa, stating there were two transactions on my card totaling $2000 that I did not authorize. The caller instructed me to press a button if I wanted to talk to a representative, which felt suspicious.

I answered the call but waited for someone else to speak before I said hello. When they did, they said they were calling from Telstra in Melbourne CBD in Exhibition St (but the number location said Ringwood, an outer suburb). They were trying to contact me about my internet service and asked if I was the account holder. I was having trouble hearing and asked them to repeat themselves a couple of times. They then hung up. It wasn't an automated call. I do not have a service with Telstra.
I have recently received scam calls from this number as well as from (03) 9871 7420 and (03) 9871 7435, which all seemed to be fraudulent.
I answered a call from this number but the caller hung up immediately. I could hear other people talking in the background, which sounded like the typical environment of a call center.

Scammers, not the first time they ring. Usually number appears to be from Melbourne.
Caller said they were from E bay warehouse. I refused the call as I don't use it at all. I don't have a login. I suspect they were scammers.
The caller claimed to be from PayPal, stating that there was someone accessing a PayPal account under my name, but I have never had a PayPal account. This raises my suspicion regarding the legitimacy of the call.
