They will say they are calling from your ISP (they don't tell you who your ISP is) and that your Internet has been playing up. They say the problem is from your router.

So if you get a call (from this number - or similar ph call) just do this:

Tell them that you are tracing the call and now you have a record of their IP address and that you are recording the call...

They are so rude that they will hang up...

Where's the fun??!!

They might call back a few minutes later (didn't learn their lesson the first time) So just tell them the same thing again :).

Love scammers :).

Mob called 3 times, first 2 answering machine kicked in, no message left. Third time, I answered call, as I had looked up number. When I answered a female was on the other end, asking if my internet was okay. Playing dumb, I said my internet was not working very well. She thought she had a potential victim on the other end, told me to hold. A male took over the conversation, confirming if my internet was working in the last 3 weeks or not. Playing along I said, the internet had not been to good. He went on explaining how my internet had become compromised and the information I was viewing was visible by any-one, which it normally is anyway. I told him I was not tech savvy, though I am an IT support officer and know more about computers and the Internet than he does. He used the analogy of a house with no windows or doors, to explain that's how my internet (router in his words) had become. He told me he was going to help me rectify this. He start with the "ctrl" key on the right, then the windows key, telling me to press and hold the windows key, followed by the R key. I stung him al;ong for a few more seconds, before telling him I was recording the the conversation and was going to report him. He hung. They called back, whilst I'm typing this, but hung up when I answered.

Called by this number 3 times today. Each time they call I pickup but I don't say anything and they hangup within 4 seconds. I've learned that if you don't say hello right away - wait for around 3-4 seconds before speaking - the computer dialler hangs up the call. Number added to the block list in my phone :).

Called 4 times so far in one day, hang up when answering machine picks up. When I pick up say they are from my internet service provider and are troubleshooting problems with the internet in my area. Kept calling back despite my telling them I didn't want to speak to them.
