Marketing call from Raine and Horne. Australian accented women said she was calling from Raine and Horne asking me whether I'd heard of them. When I countered with had she had heard of the "Do not call register"she said "No whats that?" and hung up abruptly in my ear. Unbelievably rude behaviour which I will remember if ever I need an estate agent. No idea where they got my name and number but will report them to ACMA if they ever call again.

Further to my earlier post today, I realized I made a mistake in my earlier post. This was most likely because I was so upset. I forgot to say that just prior to hanging up in my ear, the caller, when asked by me "where are you calling from", said "security australia".

I have since made investigations this afternoon and am now waiting for a call from the managing director of the company of raine and horne (estate agents).

I tracked down the director via the company head office in melbourne.

No doubt the employee in their companies, franchised office, will have some explanations to make as the call to me was made from their office phone which I verified, prior to calling head office.

The estate agents board will be next if I do not receive satisfaction. To receive a call from someone claiming to be with security australia, when they are a marketing arm of a large real estate organisation was most distressing, particularly when the caller hung up on me on trying to identify me by my name.

Shame on your staff raine and horne.

I WAS CALLED BY SOMEONE WHO ASKED FOR ME BY NAME, THE CALLER HAD A THICK FOREIGN ACCENT AND I ASKED WHO WAS CALLING. A COMMENT WAS MADE "IT IS JOSH SPEAKING". THEN THE CALLER JUST HUNG UP IN MY EAR WITHOUT ANOTHER WORD SAID. AS I HAVE CALLER I.D., I COULD SEE THE NUMBER, I WAS CALLED FROM (03- 9569 3900).

I USED THE REVERSE PHONE BOOK TO FIND OUT THAT IT WAS RAIN AND HORNE (REAL ESTATE) MARKETING. I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO RAIN AND HORNE AS SOON AS I FINISH THIS POST.

A Google search says it's Raine and Horne Marketing.
