    Got two phone calls from this number this morning.

    Since I was waiting for a supplier to call me today, I thought that these persistent calls could be from them. I ended up calling the number. I got an answering machine saying that OPTUS has disconnected the number....

    Didn’t pickup as unknown number and no voicemail message left. Just a text message to say call 147 or 149 (I think, I deleted message) number to find out more. Obviously a scam. Have blocked caller.

    Do NOT answer this phone number - I just had a call saying it was ANZ bank confirming a transfer - (it was automated) I’m not with ANZ immediately hung up.. Am thinking they are trying to get people’s voice print for serious scamming.

    Chinese robot voice that left voicemail complaining about my phone getting disconnected or something equally stupid. Repeats it's message in Chinese.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
