This is definitely a Telstra scam. They ring saying your internet has been hacked and they are from Telstra IT department and they need to fix it. They threaten to cut your phone and internet off if you are not co-operative. I have checked this out with Telstra and it is a SCAM. BE VERY CAREFUL if you get a call.

Called twice in regards to our interent claiming our line in not secure and that they are from tesltra. We are not with telstra this is a scam.

I believe this is a scam caller. They mention they’re from Telstra and are calling in relation to your internet connection. We’re not even with Telstra! Be careful as they may ask you to logon and then request remote access.

I just got a call from these guys. Please do not give them any information. Also, if you're on the do not call register, keep them on the line for a few minutes, tell them you're on that, and ask them for their details. They might hang up but do it anyway. Regardless of the outcome, contact your phone provider, and the do not call register and file a complaint. I used to work in call centres and the way they operate is not proper practice. If you're not on the register, please go ahead and do it now.

Unsure if call came from this actual landline number or the scammers who may have spoofed the bona-fide private number in Craigieburn, VIC without the owner knowing (quite common). Could hear the call centre crackling in background.
