This number calls me saying they are Telstra, or that it’s about my home internet. When questioned about why they are calling, they hang up. Very noisy in the background. 03 9318 6093.
Just received a call from a man who claimed to work for Telstra, he said there had been "suspicious activity" on my internet account and that there was an indication that someone overseas was using my account. I told him it sounded like a scam, which he denied. I said I knew it was a scam because I'm not with Telstra and he claimed that because Telstra owns the phone lines, they are the ones calling me to fix the problem.
I asked him to put me on hold so I can hear the Telstra hold music, and once I've heard it, then I'll talk to him. He agreed and then hung up. SCAM.
