    I called AusPost to inquire if an SMS message from them was legit. No person answered but got the recorded voice saying to press this, this and that number and that the wait time was "more than 10 minutes" and to indicate if I wanted a call back - I did. Ten minutes later I did get a call back... But there was no one there!!!! Good One AustPost!

    Missed the call from them as was working. Told them not to call in the enquiry, but to instead email. But they still called. In voicemail they said they'd leave an email directly after. But they didn't instead I had to reach out to them again first. They do enjoy wasting your time.

    Missed call. Presumably in response to an online enquiry I made (even though I said I preferred to response by email over phone). When called back get automated response.

    Phoned twice, when answered there was no one there. Tried to call back and directed to another number 13 76 78. This number is still no help. Important express post letter has been lost by Australia Post and cannot get any help.

    Australia Post's 'attempt' to call me was so short my phone didn't even ring – I just received a standard text message from my provider saying I'd missed a call. My phone was in my hand the entire time. About as useful as their 'we tried to deliver your package but nobody was home' slips that they leave at your door while you're at home waiting for their delivery.

    Based on all the comments here I assume it’s Australia Post about a complaint I made. Except, I answered and no one spoke. I repeated hello a few times over about 20 seconds and nothing, so I hung up.

    Hung up as soon as I answered. I also have complaints in with Australia Post so it wouldn't surprise me that they were calling, except that I requested a email reply. Still, another stuff up is to be expected from Australia Post. Assuming of course that it is them calling, since the caller didn't say anything and hung up when I answered.

    I raised an issue for a missing parcel earlier and today I received a call from this number. The lady asked if I had received the parcel. I answered no - and then she said "ok, I'll email you. Have a nice day" and hung up on me. The call finished in a blink of eye.

    Harassment calls, hangs up after 2 rings, following up complaint form. I explicitly flagged as email only but of course they rang, and rang, and rang. My mail kept being dropped of at train depot despite door to door delivery. Why the frick do we pay for it? How as a disabled client am I expected to drive an hour to and another back, for the collection point? 7th time.

    Australia Post Complaints - Why is this seen as an unknown number? We are told to not answer unknown numbers so why don't they ID themselves, defies any logic. Needs fixing.

    Calls only shortly before close of business, and hangs up after two rings. Sounds like australia post to me! They've left me a couple of voicemails regarding a complaint I've filed recently regarding a parcel being close to fifty days overdue.

    I am receiving harassing phone calls and SMS that do not allow for exchange of communications. However the Text of the SMS implies they are Australia Post and following up on a Complaint lodge about Australia Post.

    No such complaint has been made.

    However, a search for the Owner of this phone number has revealed at some stage the number belonged/belongs to :

    Wompro Innovative Products.

    196 Normanby Road,

    Southbank Vic 3006.

    (03) 9279 4000.

    Enough ! ...... Very annoying. This number is now blocked.

    Received Text / SMS and Phone Calls saying from Australia Post, saying responding to a Complaint I have made???? I have never contacted Australia Post regarding any complaint about anything. If I had a problem I would go to local PO not contact Australia Post in another State. I believe this contact is bogus with mischievous intent. I have blocked this number. I do not appreciate being harassed like this.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
