It looks like this is a scammer posing as the Commonwealth Bank. The fairly professional-looking email said that a significant amount was being debited from my account by JB Hi-Fi on the 5th of each month and if I had any problems I should call this number. It also included a link, supposedly directly to the bank. I forwarded the email to hoax@cba.com.au.
They had the audacity to impersonate Commonwealth Bank. Such a pathetic scam! Don’t give them the time of day!
So, I copped a couple of dodgy emails from so-called Commonwealth Bank addresses. They say I signed up for a direct debit for almost four grand to JB HI FI! What a load of rubbish – it’s a complete scam, no way did I authorise anything like that!
