What Our Users Reviewed
Received a call from this group claiming to be representing the local shire council asked for my date of birth when I did not respond they hung up.
Definitely a scammer.
I received the same phone call as the previous person 16DEC2020 @4.45PM. Heavy accent and fast talker, all I heard was the name of my City Council. When I said what, he hung up on me. I rang the council and informed him what had happened to me. I called the number back twice no connection could be made. What concerns me is that he has sensitive information about me. It is definitely a scam but how far will they go knowing your private details, this to me is very concerning.
16/12/20 - 4:45 pm - received a call from (03) 9112-5867 - Indian male voice asking is that 'x x' - how are you doing today? I am ringing from a city council, he said - I said which city council - he said, 'Banyule' - I said I am not with Banyule... Caller hung up promptly. I promptly rang and reported this to Banyule city council as well noting the number is nothing like their customer service number. Also reported to ScamWatch. Who knows they might be targeting people saying you have outstanding rates or something? Definitely suspicious.
