Overview of 03 9067 2200

The phone number 03 9067 2200 / 0390672200 has been reported by numerous users as a source of incessant and suspicious calls. While some users claim it is associated with Australian Super, the discrepancies in caller identities and the behaviour of the callers led to increased scepticism about its legitimacy. Evaluating the feedback, this number has been classified as "suspicious."

User Experiences

Several users shared their experiences with this number, describing similar patterns of calls without any significant information being provided. Many reports indicate that the callers refuse to disclose their identity or purpose, often citing "confidentiality." This refusal raises red flags, especially when individuals feel pressured to share private details about themselves or their family members.

  • Repeated Calls: Users have noted receiving multiple calls throughout the day, often with no messages left.
  • Call Origin Claims: Some individuals were told the calls were from a legitimate company such as Australian Super, yet complaints often refer to accents or behaviour that do not align with a credible organisation.
  • Disgruntled Consumers: Many felt frustrated by the intrusive nature of these calls, particularly since their privacy was not respected.

Scam Potential

While one user did assert that 03 9067 2200 / 0390672200 is linked to Hesta Insurance, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of trust. Multiple accounts describe a persistence rife with unanswered questions and insufficient verification methods. Particularly, when users attempt to return calls, they are met with disconnected lines or voices cautioning them against revealing personal information. The consistent reports of "hang-ups" and vague respective identities enhance the suspicion that this number might be part of a phishing or impersonation scam.

How to Handle Calls from 03 9067 2200

If you receive a call from this number (or any number that invokes suspicion), consider the following strategies:

  • Don’t Respond Immediately: If you’re unsure about the caller’s identity, it’s best to refrain from engaging.
  • Research & Validate: Use services like Reverseau for a reverse phone lookup to gain more insight about someone who calls you.
  • Report Suspicious Behaviour: If you feel harassed or suspect fraudulent activity, report the number to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or the telecommunications provider for further investigation.

Conclusion

The collective feedback regarding 03 9067 2200 / 0390672200 indicates a need for caution. The persistent and dubious nature of interaction ought to concern anyone receiving calls from this number. As a practical approach, if in doubt, it is safer to check through official sources or utilise Reverseau to ascertain the true nature of the caller.

This number has called me at least three times a day, which is driving me absolutely mad!

I got a call from this number that asked for either me or my wife by our full names. Although the number is listed under Australian Super, the caller refused to identify themselves, citing "privacy" concerns. I confirmed with Australian Super, and they stated that callers should provide their name and a privacy statement. No one in my household has superannuation with them, so I consider this a scam - do not share your personal details with them.

The caller identified themselves as being from Australian Super, but I am unsure if this was a legitimate call or not.

M

When I answered the call, the person said hello and then hung up. I called back, and the message claimed it was from Australian Super. However, given the numerous complaints reported about this number, I seriously doubt their legitimacy.

The call came in, but the caller did not leave any message after ringing.

This number has called me multiple times in a short period but has never left a message. It's very annoying and feels like a spam call.

I received a call from a link share service that asked me to accept a takeover offer for Slater and Gordon. They claim to represent companies on the stock market, but I’m not sure if this is legitimate.

The call rang only briefly, which was frustrating. I believe they should send a text message with their contact information instead, as it would be a more considerate approach.

This number has repeatedly called me five times since mid-February, but they never leave a message.

This phone number belongs to Hesta Insurance. I previously communicated with them on February 8 to inform them that I didn’t recognize the number, but it truly is theirs. This is not a scam; they have followed up with me via email and also called me on this number to verify the information discussed. You can proceed without worry.

I did not answer the call, but the caller left a voicemail saying his name is Franky from Hesta Insurance and that he will call me again tomorrow. I have confirmed through email with Hesta that this number is not affiliated with them.

Person called seem to have sourced my details and was able to say it. He refused to say who he was due to "privacy reasons"!!!!!!! Whose privacy?

Must be a scammer.

C

A person from this number contacted me and asked to speak with our adult daughter. I informed them that she no longer resides here. However, the caller refused to disclose their identity.

This number has rung me twice looking for my husband. I told the caller the number they were calling was my number but I could give them his number. I asked who was calling before I could give them his number as I was going to inform my husband about it. The lady said "for confidentiality reasons I cannot give you that information". I asked what company or business this was again she said "for confidentiality reasons I cannot give you that information." Really pissed me off. She had a Filipino accent. I tried ringing back but number would not connect.

This number called me tonight. I didn’t answer it but I do not need a ‘plumber’ from another state to call me.
