I answered this call today and they informed me they where from Telstra and that I was a valued customer as since I paid my account on time I could receive a discount of 40% of my next account. When I asked what my account number was they hung up.

I tried calling back but is says the number is disconnected.

7 calls during the day- like most days.

The last one I picked up and told them where to go when no one answered then I hung up.

Seconds later the same number rings again and tells me to p... Off.

I tell them the same.

They respond quite intensely with "I p... All over you" and just keep going.

Seriously my jaw dropped.

It's from a person claiming to be from Telstra Billing who refuses to give employee I'd and name. It's extortion. They try to get you to pay a non existing bill.

Just received a call saying they wanted to talk to me about our bill. Asked them if they had our bill infront of them he said yes I asked him how much it was and he told me the wrong amount I then hang up on him. He then wouldn't let me ring out as he stayed on the line for a few minutes.

Everyday I receive a call from this number when I pick up and speak they hang up straight away. Today I have received 3 landline calls from the same number and each time they hang up on me how do I stop this.

Just got a call from this number. Speaker was rapid, female, south east asian accent, purporting to be ringing from Telstra. Wanting to know when I paid my last bill! She hung up when I said I couldn't remember.

I immediately rang Telstra to check if it was them. Telstra operator male, indian accent, said it was not a Telstra number, but not terribly interested in the fact that someone is impersonating Telstra. Only wanted to rattle on about ; what kind of phone / handset I have; Do not call register etc etc.
