I just had a voicemail (but No missed call) saying to call this number regarding my taxes and warrant for arrest.. Very strange, so I call the number and an Indian bloke answered.. I asked who they were and he just hung up on me.. Do not reply to this number as it must be a scam!
Today I received a call from 0390216861 Suggesting I had not returned forms to tax department and I was being investigated for tax avoidance. I call back to find out what this is about and there is no reply.
This threatening automated call is obviously a scam but let your elderly or vulnerable friend and neighbours know!

Just got a message from this number..... House is under surveillance, warrant will be issued for arrest, etc etc. Rang the number and got a very heavy indian accent, wouldn't tell me what office I was dealing with or his name and then stopped answering my questions and then finally hung up. This is a new version of "I am from windows".
Just recieved the same call, I rang the number back and advised that my taxes were in order and they said they were looking for a Mr Patrick, I told them wrong number and they just hung up on me. Sounded like an Indian bloke.
Received a threatening call listing this number to call back on. Heavily accented caller (Scottish?) said I would be charged with tax avoidance if myself or my lawyer didn't call back. Obviously a scam.
Yes this is some sort of scare tactic, I don't know why they bother, they are obviously footing the phone bill. Just disregard or call the ATO and report.
Received a call 30/4 threatening possible arrest for tax evasion etc.
Obviously a robotic call as no names mentioned and also as the call was recorded by our answering machine the first part was missing.

Robot call purporting to be from tax office, threatening arrest and/or legal action if call not returned. Says letters were sent to my address but were returned unopened and that I may therefore go to jail because of tax avoidance. Call came on 27 April and also one week earlier.
