Identifying the Caller: 03 9021 5983

Recently, the number 03 9021 5983 has come onto the radar of many users in Australia, particularly due to a series of alarming reports that suggest it falls into the category of a suspicious spam caller.

What Users Are Saying

Users have shared their experiences with this number, and the feedback is consistent. Several individuals have reported either receiving silent calls or automated messages that abruptly terminate with a "goodbye". These interactions raise a red flag, commonly associated with various spam or scam tactics.

An Analytical Approach

This number has cemented its reputation as one that many should avoid answering. The reports indicate:

  • Disconnected calls: A common characteristic of spam calls, as is evident from the reports mentioned.
  • Silent voicemails: Several respondents experienced silence when trying to interact, a typical behaviour of automated or unwanted marketing systems.
  • Automated endings: The "goodbye" message suggests the likelihood of an automated calling system, which raises further doubts about its legitimacy.

Scam Alert: Why Be Cautious

The concern raised by users about recording voice responses is particularly notable. While legitimate businesses follow strict procedures and privacy laws regarding phone calls, spam calls often exploit fear or curiosity to manipulate individuals. The so-called "silent calls" may be a tactic to prompt callbacks, where scammers could further exploit the situation.

What to Do If You Receive a Call from This Number

If you receive a call from 03 9021 5983 / 0390215983, it is advisable to:

  • Let it go to voicemail: As many users mentioned, the voicemails are often silent—this way, you can screen the calls without answering.
  • Do not call back: Redialing numbers like this can potentially lead to being charged or inadvertently giving away personal information.
  • Report the number: Utilize resources like Reverseau or other reverse phone lookup services in Australia to record your experience and see if others have had similar interactions.

In conclusion, the number 03 9021 5983 should be treated with caution due to its classification as a likely spam caller. Awareness and proactive measures can protect you from potential scams or unwelcomed solicitations.

Answered it then there was silence and then a computer voice said goodbye. I am very worried about it now that they have maybe recorded my voice to use for something bad. Definitely a scam call.
