First it was a bullshit recording but the caller ID was showing this time. I called back and asked who it was. They said ATO and sounded like a call center. I told the person the ATO would never call me directly and would send a letter in the mail. The call was terminated. I call back several times and each person I spoke to had an curry Indian accent. They were smart enough to stop answering the phone when the ATO closes at 6pm AEDT.

Apparently I will be arrested if I don’t call back, mind you the voicemail was an automated voice and not human. I guess we’ll find out soon if I’m going to be arrested. Wish me luck.

Called by this number and had a prerecorded message tell the taxation department have a lawsuit open in my name and if I did not return their called immediately I would have a warrant issued for my arrest.
