I too had a call from this number saying there was issues with my internet when there were no issues. They wanted remote access to my pc, they asked me to call this phone number to verify that they were not a scam, I did reverse look up instead and am glad I did. Will be submitting this number to Telstra to verify validity.
I had a call from this number saying there was issues with my internet when there were no issues. They wanted remote access to my pc, they asked me to call this phone number to verify that they were not a scam, I did reverse look up instead and am glad I did. I have been scammed before so I am pretty careful now when I receive calls. If I make the call that's fine, but I don't generally give info to anyone that calls me unless I can verify them.
I had a call today 21.8.21 that looked like an overseas number on my phone. It too was supposed to be Telstra advising me of a problem with the internet, They wanted to know what device I used.?????. They gave me this number to call them back on. After them trying to get more details from me in the first call I suspected a scam and didn't call back.
I hate these scammers.
I had a call from Telstra saying someone was hijacking my IP; they wanted me to run windows command prompt (cmd) and do a netstat to get my details.
I asked for details to call back and this number was given; she asked to stay on the line while I called which I didn't.
She called back, and I said this wasn't a Telstra number, I then asked her to provide me my Telstra Account details and she hung up and hasn't called back.
