I have experienced similar issues with a caller named David, who remained extremely persistent. He called again six days later to check on whether I received my replacement bank card and wanted to do account checks. I will be blocking him again since my bank has already validated that this is not a legitimate call.
A man named "Christopher Harvey," who spoke with a British accent, called me claiming my account with Beyond Bank had been compromised. He sounded very convincing, even mentioning my address. However, something felt off, so I decided to hang up and block his number. Immediately after, I received two more calls, one from Florida and another from Washington, which I didn't answer and subsequently blocked. I'm currently reporting this to Beyond Bank for further investigation.
The caller pretended to be from my bank's fraud department and was alarmingly convincing. Due to timing constraints, I ended the call and contacted my bank directly. They later confirmed that the call was indeed a scam. Always hang up and call your bank if you're ever in doubt!
Received a call from this number saying that he was from Nab Fraud team notifying me of credit card transactions that Nab have stopped. Advised the credit card was on hold and will be cancelled but in order to stop the transactions they needed my user ID to cancel the card. Also needed it to verify who I was before they could send a text or email.
When I said I felt uncomfortable giving my user ID the guy became quite hostile saying he had given me enough information to verify he was calling from Nab.
Didn't give any details and rang NAB myself who verified it was a scam.
