Pretending to be Norton.
Call claiming fake McAfee and Norton renewal, knew who I was, tried to get me to enter commands for remote access
'Michael' with a British accent called saying he was from NAB security wanting to speak to our accounts manager, we don't bank with NAB so I asked if I can take a message and for our account manager to phone him back, he hung up instantly.
Person claiming to be from NAB Security asked for my NAB ID, said they needed to verify a payment. asked about the transaction and they hung up
Michael called supposedly from bendigo bank - asked to go to bendigo-help. Net to connect remote support to investigate a suspicious transaction from yesterday.
Yep, same deal today.
Guy with a slight English/Irish accent, claimed he was from NAB, he tried to convince me he was legit by telling me about a compromised card we had. I asked for a reference number so I could call the bank and he got upset and hung up. I Followed up with he NAB, and no calls from them were made to me.
Can confirm, this is a scam caller.
