I have received an offending message with threat taking me to court if I don’t call back.
When I called them they introduced themselves as rep of ATO and tried to get money out of me pretending that I am late to pay my taxes and threading me if I disconnect the line will be taken to court and a legal action will be taken against me... Finally and after talking to my accountant I knew they are spam from overseas... So please be carful ...
Answering machine is playing. The guy is introducing himself as an Taxation office manager and he told me some issues are reported by my name(your name) but he never told my full name. He wanted me to call back to this number(0390137367). and just before I received same guys call from different number(0206216582).30min before. Same Answering machine and Same Taxation manager.
ATO scam saying I owed money ($3516.00). Indian accent. Spoke with a man called James Walker who eventually hung up after the questions got a bit too hard. Kept ringing back and having a heap of fun with James until they stopped answering. Please anyone who gets a call from this number call them back, tell them your Adam Spencer, ask for James Walker and have some fun wasting their time.
