What Our Users Reviewed
Got a call from Peter, allegedly from Green Project, who said they were issuing National Broadband Network modems on behalf of Telstra. No cost but they needed to send a technician out. Started asking me for personal details. Asked them for a call back number but they said they had "no direct number as such". Called Telstra who never heard of them.
Same thing happened to me. Indian call centre, heavily accented, poor line quality, they speak so fast I have to ask them to repeat everything. Called Green Project 03 9013 3925 (both non-existant) claiming to represent the Vic Govt VEET scheme and will install 50 led downlights in my home totally free including free installation!! Yeah right and pigs will fly!!! They claim a qualified A-Grade electrician will call me to arrange a time for the work. I've haven't worked out what the Scam is. Maybe they falsely invoice the Vic Govt. For the value of the green credits. Anyhow I've had a similar approach previously and BEWARE these people harass and ring you all hours of the day and night. My advice is to tell them to bugger off. The annoying thing is I can't lodge a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry.
I have had a similar experience. I asked the name of the firm and the caller said "Green Project" and the phone number was 0390133925. I read this back to the caller who confirmed this was correct. Her name was Alicia. I made yet another booking for replacement halogen to LCD downlights. This same stuff up has happened before. Booked time and then a no-show. They had an old address. I updated this and gave my mobile number to be passed on to the installer if there was any difficulties. As in the past the installer did not show up at the agreed time and 0390133925 is not connected.
I have received 6 calls between 5.30pm and 8pm form this number purporting to be The Green Project. A private company according to the lady called Christina who made the call. She had a South Asian accent, possible Indian.
