On 18-11-2015, I was contacted by telephone by someone named “Thomas” from BigPond.

He advised me that there were security problems with my computer.

After some testing on my computer and discussion, Thomas referred me to his supervisor, “Bruce”, who.

Told me that I needed Security Software which could only be obtained from India and for which I would need to temporarily pay $800, which would be refunded to me within a few days by cheque to be given to me by an “Alice Watson”, who would call to my address and instal the Security Software.

As requested, I transferred the amount of $800 (at a transfer fee cost of $18 - which I was told would also be refunded) to a Susan Collins.2 Park St, Kolkata, India by Western Union on 18-11-2015.

Notwithstanding subsequent telephone conversations with “Bruce”, whose telephone number is 0390133744, and assurances given to me by Bruce, I have not received a refund of the $800 which I paid, or the Security Software (which I was advised was Licence Number XDA5632800HP), nor any visit from Alice Watson.

On 10 December 2015 I sent an "Complaint" email to.

Bigpond.

From a subsequent telephone call from the authentic Bigpond, I realise that I had been scammed.
