What Our Users Reviewed
I did not answer the call and the phone rang briefly before disconnecting. The number appears to be associated with Telstra, but I am not a Telstra customer, so the reason for the call is unclear.
I just got hit with a phone scam claiming to be Telstra.
The guy called up and told me that my Internet was about to be disconnected for 6 Months due to a spam issue with the Telstra Server. He said the only solution was for me to log into my computer and started deleting “corrupted files” that he was going to tell me to delete.
Naturally, I asked for his Employee ID Number, Name and call back Number then called Telstra to double check.
The real Telstra confirmed that the Employee ID Number was fake and that my service has no issues and is not due to be disconnected, so it is a dodgy scam.
Just a heads up in case you get a similar call.
