What Our Users Reviewed
Just had the same thing, this phone number listed as support for a Bitcoin purchase I didn't make. But I did receive a code for resetting my PayPal, so seems like the attempt might be a little deeper. Don't have any funds or cards attached to PayPal so no issue for me.
I received two emails this morning from similar but fake Gmail accounts. Both emails had PDF attachments which quoted the same phone number: +61-3-9005-8231. The emails referred to payment via PayPal that had already been made to purchase Bitcoin. I rarely use PayPal and have never purchased Bitcoin. Apart from being a waste of time, the emails didn't seem to be malicious.
