What Our Users Reviewed
Very convincing caller that has all your details from a data leak. They start by telling you some charges have been made in suburbs around where you live that they confirm have been cancelled. They then confirm your dob, postal address, and mobile number. After that they ask for your bank log in code. This is when I hung up and they immediately called back. I spoke with Up and they confirmed it was a scam.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS.
Attempted scam. Posing as my internet bank team with suspicious activity on my account. They had an awful a lot of my personal information on hand to confirm as a personal ID check (note, the didn't ask me to provide anything, simply to confirm what they had) and said to sit tight and wait for a member of the fraud team to be in contact, then hung up. I called my bank straight back on the main line and they confirmed there were no notes on file of this nature and no outgoing calls. I suspect they try to confirm as much personal information as possible before calling the bank to impersonate you to move money around. BEWARE.
Rather complex scam call posing as Bendigo Bank, using details from various breaches (incl. Tangerine)
