I received a call from this number that went to my voicemail. It contained a recorded message stating that my "tax file number has been compromised." The message instructed me to either press 1 or call this number back for more information.

Do not answer this call if you can avoid it, or if you do, DO NOT press any numbers that the recorded voice tells you to.

Hang up immediately.

This is one of those scum type of cons that try to get you into your computer while you are on the phone and then try to access all of your financial details.

This call has absolutely nothing to do with National Broadband Network Australia and it is nothing but a total scam from some of the lowest scum around.
