I got a call claiming to be from Telstra. The caller instructed me to access my computer’s Command Screen. When they inquired about what I saw on my screen, I mentioned I had a message warning to "AVOID ALL SCAMMERS." It was at that moment that I decided to end the conversation. For the record, I do not have a Telstra account and would never trust someone who immediately starts to give orders over the phone.

When I pressed "1" to speak to an assistant to confirm or cancel, a man with an Indian-type accent answered and introduced himself as Kevin.
I have had nothing to do with Telstra for over 15 years.
I was asked to verify a transaction, but I do not have an account with Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). They hung up shortly after I expressed my confusion.
