I got a call claiming to be from Telstra. The caller instructed me to access my computer’s Command Screen. When they inquired about what I saw on my screen, I mentioned I had a message warning to "AVOID ALL SCAMMERS." It was at that moment that I decided to end the conversation. For the record, I do not have a Telstra account and would never trust someone who immediately starts to give orders over the phone.

Another Indian Scam caller pretending to be from Telstra letting me know that my account was due even though I don't have an account with Telstra. I told the pirate on the phone she was a total muppet and then I hung up just as she was swearing at me about my mother & a dog.

The call from 03 8843 7718 (a spoofed number) played a recorded voice message, supposedly from Telstra, informing me that I have activated my Telstra plan and that $99.99 would be deducted from my bank account. When I pressed "1" to speak to an assistant to confirm or cancel, a man with an Indian-type accent answered and introduced himself as Kevin.

I have had nothing to do with Telstra for over 15 years.

I was asked to verify a transaction, but I do not have an account with Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). They hung up shortly after I expressed my confusion.
