When I answered the call, an automated recording responded with "goodbye" and ended the call. This appears to be a scam call center's method of checking active numbers, then automatically hanging up if no operator is available.
Both my husband and I received the same call within an hour, with the caller claiming to represent the Commonwealth Bank.
I received a call asking if I had made an international transaction. I believe this was a scam call attempting to trick me.

DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL! It appeared to be from a department claiming to handle Visa/Mastercard transactions, demanding a payment of $900. It is definitely a scam, so hang up immediately!
About the 5th call! He only got to "I'm calling about your... with...." When I said we are not with them and don't have one. He hung up. Scammers.

The call started off with a scripted message. The caller introduced himself as Michael Ellis and was apparently calling about a service related to me. I recognized this as a scam because he didn’t know my name or any details. After this, he hung up. It's suspicious that I received five calls on the same day before 2 PM.
No message left. Comes up as a spam caller.

I received a call on September 28 at 1:17 PM from a male with an Indian accent who claimed to be calling about my internet problems. However, I don’t own or use a computer, so I quickly hung up on this scammer.
