I spoke with a woman who had an Indian accent, and she claimed that my eBay account had been hacked, with someone in the US purchasing a $500 gift card. I couldn't figure out her intentions, and the conversation became heated before she hung up.

There was a pause before the caller spoke, and I could hear a noisy background. A male voice with an Indian accent claimed to be from the Commonwealth Bank. I told them I don't have an account, and then I hung up.

I've had 3 calls today.2 from Melbourne and one was a mobile number. Both numbers are very similar. This could mean a business with multiple numbers. The business may not be aware it's numbers are being spoofed, or whatever. The numbers were (03)8843-7710 & (03)88437714. Both of these called, but as I didn't recognise the numbers, I didn't answer. The caller didn't leave a message, either time. The mobile number that called, also left no message, text or voice message.

Never answer calls you don't recognise, or from areas in Australia that you don't normally deal with. TIMEWASTERS!!!

Great Scam phone call, told me there were two transactions on my visa card and wanted me to talk to someone to confirm that I made these transactions. Best of luck getting the money from my Visa as the amounts were way above the amount of money in my visa account.

Scam.

100% scam. Do not fall for it. They use programs to fake their phone number to seem like they're local but they are not. Do not answer them and if you do, hang up immediately.

I received a call from a person with a typical scammer accent who claimed she was calling to upgrade my NBN service. She asked how many lights were flashing on my modem. Once it was clear that I recognized her as a scammer, she insulted me and abruptly hung up. In my opinion, she acted like a typical scammer.

Did not leave a message - suspect Scam --- Because -- earlier today - I also had another call from Victoria - accidentally answered that - it was re Solar - I said no thanks and hung up - then they did call again minutes later -- BUT with a NSW number - I answered - same guy and solar -- seems like they can be from any state they wish to pretend to be.

After a significant pause, a female with an Indian accent began to speak. I couldn’t catch what she said, and when I asked her to repeat it, she hung up. This has the typical signs of a call center scammer.

This was a call from an overseas call center claiming to be from Telstra, stating that they received notifications about unauthorized users accessing my IP address. This follows a typical scam call script and seems very suspicious.
