Scam caller.
Hung up right after answering.
Just another POS telemarketer.
Caller knew my name. He said that he could give me faster internet and wanted to know how old my modem was. I said that it was 2 years old. He said that I would need a new modem to get the faster speed. I asked him where he was from and he said Optus. When I rang the number there was a recorded message that said "welcome to telco offer". He didn't come right out and say it but I gathered he wanted to sign me up for an internet plan.
Scammers.
Answered and then got the delayed response. Asked for me by name, wanted to talk to me about my home National Broadband Network internet. I said I don't have National Broadband Network, he questioned my statement. And I restated that I don't have fixed line home internet or National Broadband Network. (I have mobile internet at home) and he thought about it for a minute, then hung up on me... Just wasting my time, fishing for info, trying to sell National Broadband Network.
