Called was in the afternoon quoting there is a ATO law suit in play and to reply (don't reply scam) phone number 03 8751 7054 there was sounds of other people like a call center in the back ground terrible recording.
Had message left saying lawsuit being filed against me, fairly sure it was a scam so called ATO confirmed all ok definitely a scam !

Similar to other reports above, I received an answering machine message from this number threatening that "A lawsuit has been filed against your name and if you do not call back immediately the situation will unfold against you. Take care." No names were given, so I assumed it to be a scam.
Received message, foreign sounding voice, something about a lawsuit, she repeated the number twice and said I need to call back immediately. Couldn't phone back, out of business hours perhaps, as it would have been about 6.30pm EST when I tried.

Definitely a scam. I've had 4 missed calls from them today. Blocked my number & called them just now.
Male answered - Australian Taxation Office - what can I do for you? Told him I'd had a a call from them & asked what they wanted.
He - "What's your number?".
Me - "You have it - you called us - (and gave him a fictitious name & town).
He - "Just a minute -" (talking in the background).

Received call from female voice who left a message on our answering service, caller advised "that need to call number 03 8751 7054 immediately pending law suit against us and to call immediately before situation unfolds". I called the number back and they tried to say that they were ATO, ATO never calls people threatening legal action, this is definitely a scam!
