    I held on for ages after answering the phone, hearing absolutely nothing, after about half a minute a voice said 'hello' ... turns out it is ANZ bank, I told the lady to answer me as soon as I answer the phone because I thought it was a prank call because she took so long to answer - I will be blocking the number.

    We have been getting endless calls from 0386935488 constantly, on both our home & now my mobile. It has got so bad we have had to turn our answering machine off, never any messages, totally rude as they don't respond when asked who is calling? We have asked for them to stop but they have increased the calls now, even to my mobile.

    (I have no idea how they got my mobile ph no. As I use that for family emergencies & work call ins only).

    Please can someone do something about stopping this.

    Thank you.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
