This is a legitimate call from ANZ. I received an SMS alerting me to possible fraudulent activity on my account. When I called back to verify, I found out that my card had been skimmed.
I endured a call that lasted an hour to verify if it was a legitimate caller, but that seemed quite unusual.
This phone number is legitimate and belongs to ANZ bank. It was provided to Google for verification purposes when I added my card to Google Pay.
I don't think this is legit. Received 2 texts supposedly from ANZ about fraudulent activity followed by a call from this number (they didn't leave a message).
Why do I think it is a scam? Because I don't have an account with ANZ.
I would strongly recommend if you have concerns about fraudulent activity that you contact ANZ via their phone No on the back of the card.
