(03) 8641 9083 - 0386419083: Scam Alert - NAB Fraud Impersonation

So, I get this dodgy call claiming to be from Amazon about my card info being leaked. I told the bloke it was a dead card, and he just wouldn't let it go! Told him to piss off – proper con artist! Hang up already!

Just recieved a call from this number. They asked me zero info about who I was and knew the last 4 numbers on my card. Instantly said that I need to cancel July card because it had been declined overseas a couple times. I told them to call me back in 20, went to NAB, who called frauds for me and confirmed it was a SCAM.

Guy had an English accent. Kept calling me back until I told him don’t bother.

Number is lised on the NAB website as the overseas contact number.

I just received the same call as other have written. Claiming to be from the NAB fraud Department. They knew the last 4 digits of my card number and also my address. They stated that someone had applied for a credit card under my name and also attempted a number of suspicious withdrawals from my debit card which the were now all on a Preauthorised hold. They wanted to cancel my existing card and set me up with a new card once they asked some further questions. They never asked me qualifying questions to confirm my identity which was the first alarm. I rung the NAB who could see no such activity, my cards have now been cancelled, new ones issues. Better luck next time thieves.

I just got the same sort of call as others have mentioned. Bloke sounded English and claimed to be from NAB's fraud department. They knew my card’s last four digits and my address, saying someone tried to use my name to get a credit card and made dodgy withdrawals.

I received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from my bank. They insisted on checking a transaction. The caller sounded very convincing, but when I mentioned I would contact my bank directly to verify, they abruptly hung up.

I experienced a similar call; the caller introduced himself as Paul Stewart, but the call substance seemed suspicious.

After this call, I contacted my bank who confirmed that it was a scam. The caller had attempted to deceive me by sending a false AusPost notification and then called to falsely inform me that my bank account had been compromised. The bank assured me they had no record of anyone contacting me and stated this call was indeed a scam. The caller had an accent.

I received a text message that claims to be from NAB (National Australia Bank), stating that a payment had been cancelled and that a representative would call me shortly regarding this issue.

I received a call this afternoon from someone stating that two different individuals tried to withdraw money from my account. The caller asked for my card number to cancel it and also tried to pitch insurance coverage for any future unauthorized transactions, claiming to offer full reimbursement for stolen funds.

The caller inquired about suspicious transactions on a credit card that I lost and canceled months ago. It’s clearly a scam, so don’t waste your time.

This number pretended to be from the NAB fraud department. It appeared suspicious and I believe it to be a fraudulent attempt. Please be cautious and do not provide any personal information.
