Very bad people and should be stopped.
It is a scam.
I just had a call from this marketing group. The woman said they were calling on behalf of the Salvation Army and they are looking for people to go door knocking in my area and collect for the Salvation Army and could she send me a collection kit? I quickly cut her off and told her I was not interested in doing this. I usually have lots of respect for the Salvation Army but I am in no way interested in bothering my neighbours and disturbing them in the privacy of their own homes by asking them for money.
I just received a call from this number and I find it extremely fishy. The lady asked if I was Carol, I would never use the word “yes” on unknown phone calls I just picked up. I asked who is calling and the lady was unwilling to tell me which organisation/company she was calling from. She only gave me “her name”. I continued asking where she is calling from and what this call is about, and she refused to tell me and kept asking me if I was Carol. I refused to say yes and she hung up eventually. If this was a legit company or organisation, they would’ve just told me so.

From this number, the caller said they were raising funds for Kids Cancer and asked if I wanted to buy a bear to donate to a children's ward. I have had these calls before and not had any issues.
