Understanding the Call from 03 8605 0380
The phone number 03 8605 0380 / 0386050380 has been reported by various users, raising questions regarding its legitimacy. While some identify it as a legitimate number associated with Telstra Support, others report unsatisfactory interactions, suggesting a possibility of scam or misleading calls. In this article, we will explore user reports and examine the classification of this number, assisting you in determining how to respond if you receive a call from it.
Legitimate Calls vs Suspicious Activity
Many user experiences indicate that the number is indeed linked to Telstra Support. Callers have confirmed good experiences, such as receiving friendly and helpful assistance while verifying their customer details. However, there is contradictory feedback involved with claims of a technician visiting and requests for personal information, including a name and date of birth. This aspect sparks concern regarding privacy and the authenticity of the call.
The Grey Area: Legitimate Queries or Potential Scams?
The confusion seems to arise primarily due to reported calls where representatives have questioned users about personal data. One reported conversation involved an individual pretending to verify information under the guise of assisting with a new installation for the National Broadband Network. The fact that these discussions arise from customers who already possess modern, compatible equipment indicates the possibility of either misinformation or an aggressive sales tactic.

I got a phone call today (said Telstra) that they had received my tablet and asked for the password as they could not unlock the tablet. I gave them a password that I though could be it, she said yes that works, is there anything else I can help you with, I said yes my bill, sorry you will have to talk to someone else.
Said he was James (Indian) from Telstra, advising fibre wiring phone cable for National Broadband Network would be getting installed in street by one technician and another would come into the house to change over our modem (which is already brand new from Telstra and National Broadband Network ready)Wanted to argue that it had to be changed as it was not compatible but Telstra have confirmed again that it is) wanted my name and date of birth. Said this could be 6-8 weeks to 3 months at no charge and we would be advised when this was happening. Have called Telstra (they won't check phone number) Still not sure about call.
